First Aid at Scrivener
First Aid Room
The Work Safety (ACT Code of Practice for First Aid in the workplace) Code of Practice 2011 stipulates that a dedicated first aid room is recommended for workplaces with more than 200 employees.
The University of Canberra “Scrivener Building” has a fully equipped first aid room, as required under the code of practice.
The First Aid Room and its facilities are made available to all persons working at the place of work, will remain unlocked when vacant and are not to be used for any other purpose.
To access the room please contact the local first aid officer in your area who shall:
- escort you to the room;
- contact the appointed First Aid Officer in charge of the room; and
- remain with you as required.
The first aid room shall allow for short-term recovery. Should short term recovery not be achieved the First Aid Officer shall arrange for the casualty to be transferred to home, a medical practice or hospital as applicable.
Location
Within the Scrivener Building, the First Aid Room is located on Level B Room 13.
