Program introduction
The University of Canberra is pleased to offer staff an opportunity to complete a Certificate IV in Project Management through the Australian Institute of Management (AIM). The Certificate IV in Project Management is a nationally recognised qualification designed to build skills and knowledge in eight areas of project management. It is designed for participants wishing to develop project management skills and knowledge to a stage where they can competently assist in the planning, management and control of projects within their organisations.
The Certificate IV commences with a 3 consecutive day Applied Project Management Workshop where participants will learn the critical processes required to plan, implement and review projects. Using a supportive case study you will develop a Project Charter, Project Management Plan and subsidiary project plans.
This program is a broad and deep exploration of the project management knowledge areas including essential tools and techniques such as integrated baselines, cost management tools, earned value and the WBS dictionary. It will also explore the project lifecycle, including pre- and post-project activities such as business context analysis and benefits realisation.
This course is being offered to staff across the University but places are limited so if you are interested please complete the application form and get your Supervisor and Dean/Director to approve as soon as possible.
