Program introduction
The University of Canberra is pleased to offer staff an opportunity to take up a Certificate IV in Business Administration qualification through Origin Human Resources. The Certificate IV in Business Administration is a nationally recognised qualification designed to build and recognise a number of key best practice skill sets considered essential for staff members working within a professional support and administration environment.
The qualification is designed to teach you how to efficiently use Microsoft Office Programs, maintain a safe working environment, use Management Information Systems, understand and meet your customers needs, and to create more effective workplace relationships.
Who would benefit from this program?
The Certificate IV in Business Administration is designed for staff working within support, administration, clerical, back and front office, supervisor, and team leader roles. The qualification has an emphasis on effectiveness within an office environment, so anyone whose role involves the use of MSWord, Excel and Powerpoint, and who works with others to achieve outcomes would also benefit.

A briefing session will be held to ensure participants understand what is required and it is anticipated that other monthly meeting sessions will be organised to ensure participants are engaged with their learning. Participants will also be expected to attend a graduation ceremony upon completion.
The program is scheduled to commence in October 2011 and be completed by August 2012. On successful completion participants will receive a nationally recognised Certificate IV in Business Administration.
