Student Led Physiotherapy

This service aims to:

  1. Provide Master of Physiotherapy students with the opportunity to gain hands on clinical experience by providing physiotherapy treatments under supervision by a qualified physiotherapist
  2. Provide physiotherapy treatments to patients who are likely to experience difficulty accessing private or public physiotherapy services due to cost or timeliness.

Student Led Physiotherapy is for patients with musculoskeletal conditions. Examples include:

  • before and after joint surgery e.g. knee arthroscope, knee reconstruction, hip replacement
  • following a fracture, acute injury, joint sprain or muscle strain
  • sports injuries
  • back pain, neck pain
  • overuse and chronic injuries such as patellofemoral pain, shoulder impingement, repetitive strain injury, achilles tendinitis
  • postural pain

Appointments are available at both the University campus in Bruce, and at the rooms in Garran.
