Graduate Diploma in Clinical Trials Management (571AA)

(Flexible Delivery)

The course is offered by the National Health Sciences Centre in association with the School of Human and Biomedical Sciences.

The Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Management (463AA) is subsumed into the Graduate Diploma in Clinical Trials Management, a full fee paying purpose-designed course that provides health care professionals and allied health care professionals with advanced level skills in clinical trails research. The skills acquired equip graduates to work at levels equivalent to Clinical Research Assistants or Senior Clinical Research Assistants.

Course Duration: 

The course is only offered part time. Maximum duration 2 years.

Admission Requirements: 

In addition to the normal University requirements for admission to a graduate course, applicants must have completed the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Management, or equivalent as assessed by the University’s Admissions Committee.

Course Requirements: 

In addition to the 12 credit points from the three required subjects in the Graduate Certificate in Clinical Trials Management course (or equivalent as deemed appropriate by the University’s Admissions Committee), students must complete 12 credit points from the following subjects:

005467 Management of Clinical Trials PG
005468 Advanced Design and Clinical Trials PG
005470 Clinical Trials, Evidence and Practice PG

Course Structure:

Each subject of the course will be associated with approximately 26 hours of contact time. Seminars may be conducted in association with books of readings and tasks which students will be sent at the beginning of each subject. The actual time for each student in terms of interacting with the readings and tasks together with attendance at seminars is expected to be the usual average four hours or equivalent per week.
