Bonus points

UC has a number of bonus points schemes available to eligible applicants who apply for admission. Bonus points are added to your Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) or entry rank to give you an adjusted entry score. They do not alter your ATAR. This adjusted score is then used to assess your eligibility for UC courses. A total maximum of 20 bonus points are available to applicants who apply to study at UC.

Bonus points schemes offered at UC

The UC Subject Bonus scheme awards bonus points to students who are currently completing Year 12 and have performed well in subjects relevant to their chosen course of study at UC.

Applications for Subject Bonus points are now open and can be made through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC).

You do not need to submit a separate application for UC Subject Bonus points. If you have achieved the required results in the relevant subjects, up to ten (10) bonus points are automatically added to your ATAR to give you an adjusted entry score for UC preferences through UAC.

To see what subjects will provide bonus points to your chosen UC course, search for your course by name or UAC Code on our Year 12 Subject Bonus Points Guide.

Subject bonus points are awarded automatically to applicants for 2018 who:

  • Apply for admission through UAC
  • Are completing an Australian Year 12 program in 2017
  • Are completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia in 2017

Note: Subject bonus points are not available towards admission to the Bachelor of Physiotherapy (202JA) and the Bachelor of Midwifery (953AA) at UC.

The EAS is aimed at applicants who have been unable to reach their full academic potential or have experienced long-term education disadvantage during their final years of school which may affect their access to the tertiary courses of their choice. UC allows an adjustment of up to ten (10) points on an applicant's entry rank.

EAS applications for 2018 open Wednesday 2nd August 2017.

Applications for EAS must be made through the Universities Admissions Centre (UAC) in addition to your application for admission.

You can apply for EAS if you:

  • Are a UAC applicant for undergraduate admission in 2018
  • Are completing an Australian Year 12 program in 2017
  • Are completing the International Baccalaureate (IB) in Australia in 2017
  • An Australian citizen, a New Zealand citizen, a permanent resident of Australian (includes a holder of an Australian permanent resident humanitarian visa)

For detailed information on EAS and how to apply visit the UAC website.
