Accept your offer: International students

Congratulations and welcome to the University of Canberra!

Accepting your offer is easy, but first you need to make sure you have everything ready. The type of offer received determines the process you need to follow.

1. Accept your offer

Accept your offer by following the instructions in your offer letter. You may be required to email us your acceptance documents to acceptances@canberra.edu.au or you may need to log in to your student online application or agent portal to accept.

2. Pay your acceptance fee

Most international students are required to pay an acceptance fee which is shown on your offer letter. Payments must be made through the Western Union online portal. 3. Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

After receiving your acceptance and payment, we will send your your CoE by email which can be used to apply for your student visa.

1. Check the conditions of your offer

To secure your place at UC, please provide us with your supporting documents to satisfy the conditions of your offer as soon as possible. The details of your conditions can be found on your offer letter. All conditions must be met before you can accept.

2. Provide us your documents

You can provide your supporting documents by following the instructions in your offer letter. You may be required to email them to international.admissions@canberra.edu.au or you may need to log in to your student online application or agent portal and upload them.

3. Your conditions are satisfied

Once you have satisfied all of the conditions of your offer, we will notify you by email with instructions on how to accept.

4. Accept your offer

Accept your offer by following the instructions in your offer letter. You may be required to email us your acceptance documents to acceptances@canberra.edu.au or you may need to log in to your student online application or agent portal to accept.

5. Pay your acceptance fee

Most international students are required to pay an acceptance fee which is shown on your offer letter. Payments must be made through the Western Union online portal. 6. Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE)

After receiving your acceptance and payment, we will send your your CoE by email which can be used to apply for your student visa.

1. Submit your Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) documents

If your offer is provisional on a GTE assessment, you will need to provide all of your GTE documents to be assessed. Details of what documents are required will be outlined in your offer letter. You may be asked to email them to international.admissions@canberra.edu.au or you may need to log in to your student online application or agent portal and upload them. 2. Check the conditions of your offer

In addition to your GTE assessment, you may also have academic or English proficiency conditions on your provisional offer. In this case, you will need to submit your GTE documents and any supporting documents to satisfy your conditions. All conditions and GTE criteria must be met before you can accept.

3. Your assessment is finalised

Once your GTE assessment has been finalised and all conditions of your offer are met, we will notify you by email with instructions on how to accept.

Accept your offer by following the instructions in your offer letter. You may be required to email us your acceptance documents to acceptances@canberra.edu.au or you may need to log in to your student online application or agent portal to accept.

If you are unable to arrive in time to start your course or you would like to defer your offer to a later intake, you will need to log in to your student online application or agent portal and submit your request online by following the instructions below. If you do not have an online application, you can notify us by email at international.admissions@canberra.edu.au.

To defer using your online application:

  1. Log into the application portal and select 'My Applications'
  2. Select 'Respond to Offer' from the 'Actions' dropdown menu option
  3. This will take you to a new page where you can choose from three options: accept, reject or defer your offer
  4. Select 'Defer Offer' and choose the new desired intake
  5. Once you have selected your new intake, press 'Defer Offer' and your request will be sent to the Admissions Office for assessment and you will be notified of the outcome shortly
