Our FREE extra tutorial program uses a peer-teaching-peer approach together with access to an academic member of staff who is familiar with most content taught in first year science units. Small group study is encouraged and quiet space offered for these activities.

This program aims to enhance the learning outcomes of undergraduate students by providing a different learning environment to conventional classes  Students who run the extra tutorials have recently completed the class that they are tutoring. Their experience of recently being a student provides an insight into the mechanisms of learning strategies for that particular class. The program also presents students with an opportunity to interact in a small group with other students from their class.

Extra tutorials in first semester will be run for the following units;

• Concepts in Biology (1^st year)
• Chemistry 1A (1^st year)
• Biochemistry
• Psychology 101 (1^st year)
• Regional Anatomy and Physiology
