All academic staff of the Faculty of Applied Science are research active, that is, they conduct research, undertake consultancy and engage with industry and government on a wide variety of projects. They engage in this activity through the research centres listed below, which are also responsible for postgraduate research training.

The Faculty of Applied Science also contributes staff to the Cooperative Research Centres of eWater and Invasive Animals and to the Collaborative Network on Murray-Darling Futures.
