Research
The Faculty is the base of the Institute for Applied Ecology (IAE) and the Centre for Biomedical, Molecular and Chemical Sciences (CBMCS).Through the IAE has strategic alliances with the eWater Cooperative Research Centre and the Invasive Animals Cooperative Research Centre. Through its Forensic Studies program, the Faculty works in cooperation with the Australian Federal Police and the Canberra Institute of Technology.
The Centre for Biomedical, Molecular and Chemical Sciences is a centre of excellence in fields of biological and chemical sciences, including biological and analytical and medicinal chemistry, public health, pharmaceutical science, virology, cell biology, immunology, forensic chemistry and forensic molecular biology, inflammatory diseases, bioinformatics, cancer immunotherapy, physical sciences, interdisciplinary studies of riverine landscapes and science communication. The CBMCS has strong collaborative links with many external industry and academic groups. These associations have enhanced the reputation of all parties.
