For the Summer Semester Sport Studies will be offering Regional Anatomy and Physiology. This unit commences with an overview of body tissues and homeostasis and then takes a regional approach to examine the structure and function of the musculoskeletal system. The endocrine, respiratory, and cardiovascular systems are also studied. This unit will help you to recognise and describe the macroscopic and microscopic structure of these body systems, and to understand and explain how these systems carry out their functions, as well as how they interact with each other and the rest of the body in the maintenance of homeostasis.
