Sandy's research interests are in the promotion of elite female athletes through the media; developing pedagogical models for sports management students; and facilitating the development of "learning organisations" in the sport and recreation industry. Sandy is a member of the Sport Management Association of Australia and New Zealand; and the Australian Basketball Coaches Association. Her other interests include Rowing, basketball and surfing, camping and bushwalking.
