The courses offered by the Faculty of Health have many practical learning opportunities for students.  Professional placements with our industry partners build practical skills essential to ensure our graduates meet the standards set by regulatory and other accrediting bodies.  Student placements are in rural and metropolitan locations across Australia, but generally in the NSW Southern region.  Placement locations will vary depending on the requirements of the course.  Placement providers include the Faculty of Health Clinic, hospitals, community clinics and organisations, aged care facilities, general practice clinics, private providers and sporting venues.

The Placement Office (located at 12C24 inside the LRC 12C26) manages the establishment, coordination and compliance required to enable quality work integrated learning placements for University of Canberra Faculty of Health students.  This role requires the Placement Office to respond to the dynamic nature of the Health workforce environment.  Stakeholders that the Placement Office collaborate with include sites (any facilities that take students); students; Faculty of Health disciplines, academics and clinicians; health services; registration authorities, and professional bodies. Additionally the Placement Office supports the role of the Associate Dean Clinical Engagement.

Visit the Placement Office Moodle site for everything you need to know about placements associated with Faculty of Health courses.
