Pharmacy Dispensing Laboratory

This is where the pharmacy students carry out modern dispensing and drug formulation practice and research. 

Medication Review Room

Where the pharmacy students carry out review of medications of individual subjects under the supervision of pharmacists.

Pharmaceutics Laboratory

Where the pharmacy students carry out the analysis and evaluation of modern pharmaceutical dosage forms. The laboratory is equipped with tablet dissolution tester, tablet hardness tester, tablet friability tester, powder tapped density tester, sieves and sieve shakers and twin stage impinger.

Pharmacology Laboratory

Where the pharmacy students carry out organ baths experiments to evaluate the agonist or antagonist action of a series of pharmacological agents. Students will also conduct synergic or additive action of pharmacological or toxicological agents using cell cultures. Metabolism and bioavailability of drugs and toxins will also conducted using cells, animals or human subjects. The laboratory is equipped with organ baths and cell culture facilities. The animal house is available through the University of Canberra.

Pharmaceutical and forensic analytical Laboratory

Where the pharmacy students (and forensic students) carry out the analysis and evaluation of drugs or toxins. The laboratory is equipped with several HPLC and GC-MS within the National Centre for Forensic Studies in Building 7 level D.

Molecular Biology Laboratory

Pharmacy students also access to the state-of-art facilities of molecular biology laboratory in the National Centre for Forensic Studies.

Health Sciences Audiovisual Laboratory

Fully equipped clinical setting that enables students to be videoed or observed whilst completing a patient focused tasks and counseling. Allows for critical analysis by both student and staff.
