Nutrition and Dietetics Research
All students in the Master of Nutrition and Master of Nutrition and Dietetics are required to do a small research project. There is an option for those studying the Master of Nutrition to conduct a larger study. The discipline also offers Honours, Masters and PhD by research.
The discipline of Nutrition and Dietetics is aligned with the Centre for Research and Action in Public Health (CeRAPH) http://www.canberra.edu.au/faculties/health/CeRAPH as several of the Nutrition and Dietetics staff are pursuing research in public health nutrition. However, other staff members focus their research on clinical dietetics and clinical education.
Research interests include:
• Malnutrition, particularly in the elderly population
• Clinical education in nutrition and dietetics
• Environmental impact of food choice
• Sustainable food systems
