Moyra Lewis is currently a lecturer in the Bachelor of Midwifery at the University of Canberra. She teaches in the units looking at women with complexities in pregnancy and labour. Moyra has been a midwife since 1985 and has practiced in England and Australia. She has held a number of positions in health at senior management and education levels in South Australia and New South Wales. More recently moving to the University sector at the University of Wollongong and now University of Canberra.

Moyra is currently a Director of ALSO Asia-Pacific and teaches within the courses.  Moyra is currently enrolling in a PhD at the University of Canberra looking at the use of virtual reality in midwifery education.
