Louise is a UC graduand who studied at the University of Canberra from 1998-2002, where she attained her undergraduate nursing degree. Louise's clinical work experience has included Emergency Departments, Operating Theatres and Surgical Wards; however most of her years were spent in the Intensive Care Unit at Calvary Hospital. Before beginning work at the University of Canberra in 2011 as a lecturer, Louise was a New Graduate Clinical Development Nurse at Calvary fro 12 months. In 2007, she went on to complete her Graduate Certificate in Critical Care and is about to complete her Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing, with the hope of undertaking a Research Masters in 2012. Louise's interests lay largely in Academe and she is look forward to using her credentials and experience to teach into 2012 and beyond, whilst maintaining her skills in ICU and ED.

Research Interests

My Research interests are fairly wide as I am doing my Masters in Critical Care Nursing. I am interested in anything to do with Critical Care, however as I do also have a CDN background, I am interest in research with the development of new graduate nursing students.
