Jan is a midwife who has been teaching in the tertiary sector for over 20 years. Her teaching areas include: ethics; women’s physical and mental health after birth. Jan’s research interests include: Postnatal fatigue; women’s anxiety and depression before and after birth; women's continuity experiences with Bachelor of Midwifery students; nurses understanding of wound healing and infection control practices.  Jan is the President of the ACT branch of the Australian College of Midwives, as well as the Chair of the Midwifery Accreditation Committee, ANMAC.
