Outstanding Teacher Awards 2008
In 2008, the Professional Experience Program made a concerted effort to raise the profile of those who participate as mentoring teachers in the program. Quality mentoring means quality learning for preservice teachers.
Nominations for ‘Outstanding Mentoring Teacher Awards 2008’ were called for from Preservice Teachers, UC Liaison staff and School Professional Experience Coordinators. Based on the nomination criteria, an independent judging panel selected seven winners. In addition to the mentoring teacher awards, four awards were given in recognition of their contribution to the program to School Professional Experience Coordinators. The awards were announced on World Teacher’s Day.
The event along with the winners as reported in the Monitor.
