Master of Professional English (718AA)

The Masters in Professional English is designed for groups of practising international professionals who have an undergraduate degree relevant to their profession including a substantial study of English language, and who have had at least one year of professional experience. The course is designed for groups of eight participants or more. Each participant is to have an English language proficiency level of IELTS 6.5. The course will develop knowledge of the dynamics of English structure and discourse, and an appreciation of the development of English as an international language. The course will also enhance participants' communication skills in international professional practice and enrich their intercultural understanding.

Graduates will be able to: communicate skilfully in English as appropriate in their professional practice; continue to develop their confidence and competence as international English communicators; contribute an enhanced intercultural perspective to the work of their professional community; reflect critically on and continue to extend the knowledge and practical experience gained through the course to pursue their careers and their lives as international professionals in the future.
