Course content

The BA International Studies takes an interdisciplinary approach to national, regional and global issues.  Its aim is to produce graduates with well-developed intercultural skills and broad-based understanding of cultural diversity, foreign policy making and international relations.

The degree combines a range of subjects based in the disciplines of Political Science and Communication with a Language Major, and offers rich insights into the interplay of cultural, political, economic and environmental forces in regional and global arenas.

Language Study and Exchange Program

Students may study a language at the University of Canberra – Chinese, Japanese or Spanish and other languages may be studied at ANU.  Language may also be studied cross-institutionally as distance education if not offered at the University of Canberra.
