Supervisors: Dr Wahyu Sutiyono & Associate Professor Deborah Blackman

Abstract:

This seminar paper places the research in a contemporary Australian context and introduces the concepts of high potential employees and emotional intelligence. The literature review links these concepts and highlights the gap in current knowledge – how do high potential employees use emotional intelligence to achieve their potential? The research is designed to explore this gap. The seminar paper develops a review of the context and the literature that underpins the research question. The research methodology is then outlined explaining why the researcher plans to fill this gap with a qualitative, phenomenological case study. The paper concludes with a timetable for the completion of research.
