The Faculty of Business and Government recognises the importance of research, not only in order to make a contribution to knowledge in the relevant disciplines, but also to underpin the teaching of all our courses, thereby ensuring that our curriculum is relevant to the modern world. Our position in the Australian Capital Territory enables the development of research that supports our focus upon Business and Government as interrelated and complementary areas of study.
Consequently, the Faculty supports research by its academic staff and postgraduates in a wide range of discipline related areas including: Accounting, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Government, Human Resources Management, Marketing, Politics, Tourism and Strategic Management. The research covers private, public and not-for profit sectors from Australia and overseas and there is emphasis upon cross disciplinary research that generates new ideas and understandings in a range of topic areas which include:

The Faculty also collaborates and participates with other institutions and organisations as part of a wider research community. We have an expanding cohort of Higher Degree by Research Students who contribute to the body of knowledge through regular seminar and paper presentations.
