On January 1, 2012 the Faculty of Business & Government and the Faculty of Law merged to form a new Faculty of Business, Government & Law. A new BGL website will be available shortly.

Welcome to the Faculty of Business & Government at the University of Canberra. The Faculty incorporates the discipline areas of Accounting, Banking, and Finance; Economics; Government; Management Studies (including Building & Construction Management, Marketing, and Tourism & Services); and Urban & Regional Planning.

Many of our qualifications are cross disciplinary incorporating units of study from multiple disciplines to ensure the best outcomes for our students. Information on our courses can be found here:

In addition to our teaching activities the Faculty of Business & Government is actively involved in many key areas of research.The Faculty is supported in its research initiatives by the ANZSOG Institute for Governance and NATSEM, the National Centre for Social and Economic Modelling.

The Faculty of Business & Government is a member of the Australian National Business School (ANBS) www.anbs.com.au and is a member of the Australian and New Zealand School of Government (ANZSOG) www.anzsog.edu.au.

The Faculty is also a partner in several cross-institutional partnerships including CURF (Canberra Urban and Regional Futures) www.curf.com.au and the Centre for Labour Market Research.

Our engagement is internationally oriented with students from over 80 countries studying at the University of Canberra. We engage with representatives of the Diplomatic Service based in Canberra from the many countries where our international students call home. The Faculty of Business & Government is a vibrant scholarly community focused on ensuring quality learning outcomes in a collegial environment.
