[Information for students seeking to commence study at the University of Canberra from Semester 1, 2012]

ABOUT THE COURSE

The Bachelor of Social Science in Indigenous Studies explores the contemporary issues affecting the relationships between indigenous and non-indigenous Australians. As an important component of multicultural studies it is of value for all Australians not only as a study of intrinsic worth, but also as a means of facilitating positive inter-group relations and enabling people to better understand their own culture through contrast.

Students may complete an optional internship unit in the final year of study and most students also have the option to complete a semester of study at an international partner institution through the study abroad program.
