Deborah Hill

Biography

Dr Deborah  Hill is a Lecturer in the TESOL Program and has previously co-ordinated Supervised Teaching Practice in the program. Deborah Hill has a B.A. (Hons), M.A. and PhD in Linguistics (ANU) and a Graduate Diploma of Education (UC). She has had teaching and research experience at universities in Australia and Holland and has taught in the program’s offshore programs in Vietnam and China since 2003. She has taught Language Teaching Methodology, English Grammar, Grammar and Communication, Discourse Studies, Language and Social Context, and Study of Language. Her current research interest focuses on grammar in language teaching. She has previously published in the areas of pragmatics and Austronesian linguistics.
