Biography

Cathy teaches across the fields of Public Relations, Marketing Communication and communications theory. Her doctoral thesis [from the University of Canberra] considered the early history of the Sydney and Melbourne Film Festivals. Cathy has worked for local film festivals, including the Canberra International and Short Film Festivals. She was also the film and travel reviewer for the Canberra Review.  Her research interests include the various marketing strategies of the non-profit sector, the history and operations of cultural organisations, and cultural policy.
