Biography

Barbara Walsh teaches in the Faculty of Arts and Design in the Professional Communication discipline. Barbara holds a Masters of Arts in Organisational Communications from Charles Sturt University and is a member of the International Association for Business Communicators and the International Association for Public Participation.  

Prior to joining the University of Canberra in 2009, Barbara was an Adjunct Lecturer in Communications at Charles Sturt University and worked in senior management roles in the Australian public service in Canberra and in private sector consultancies in Canberra, Sydney and the UK.

Barbara's academic interests include organisational communications, culture and trust; the impacts of social media on society and communications, and partnerships between the public, private and community sectors involving corporate social responsibility, social entrepeneurs and social ventures.
