Other Access Programs
The following programs can help you boost your ATAR:
- Credit Transfer (Articulation): Qualifications from other institutions including the Canberra Institute of Technology can be used as a basis for admission to the University of Canberra. More information here.
- Educational Access Scheme: For students who have experienced long-term educational disadvantage due to circumstances beyond their control. Apply through UAC.
- Elite Athletes: If you compete in sport at a national level you may be eligible for special consideration and bonus ATAR points. More information here.
- Prior Learning: Previous courses and work experience can be taken into account when applying to the University of Canberra. More information here.
- Regional Bonus Points: If you're at high school in regional NSW, you will automatically receive five bonus ATAR points when you apply to the University of Canberra.
- Children of Australian Defence Force Personnel: If your schooling has been disrupted you may be eligible for up to five bonus points.
- Dean's Recommendation Scheme: If your ATAR is within five ATAR points of the course cut off you still may receive an offer. The Admissions Office will identify these students and send their details to the relevant Dean of that Faculty

Outstanding Scholars Program
The Outstanding Scholars Program is available to all students achieving an ATAR of 95+, who are Australian citizens and maintain full-time study. The program includes a scholarship and special mentoring.
