The Dean of Students works within the portfolio of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Education) and works to improve the student experience through the development of a range of programs, policies and initiatives. The Dean of Students is also responsible for outreach initiatives aimed at reducing barriers to higher education for people from equity groups and is the Director of the Aspire UC Schools Program. The Student Equity and Support Unit (SEASU), which provides a range of support services to students, is also the responsibility of the Dean of Students.
