Many UC degrees can incorporate an international experience; this may include an Internship, a faculty led tour, community project, or a clinical placement. International experience is a great way to expand your mind and professional network, so when you start at UC, why not think about an International work integrated learning (WIL) experience to undertake as part of your degree.

International internships take time to organise and plan correctly. Please make sure you note application dates and timelines for the programs you are interested in. Students are required to have a strong academic record in order to participate in an endorsed UC international internship program.

Some of the organisations UC have worked with previously offer a range of internship (and other) programs abroad:

Asiania International Consultancy

Asiania International Consultancy (AIC) run out of Thailand, and offer short term mobility, student exchange, and internship programs. AIC provides a variety of choices of education and experience programs in a wide range of ASEAN countries, and is a proud partner of UC.

CIS Australia

CIS Australia is dedicated to providing Australians innovative, high quality overseas study, intern and volunteer experiences. CIS currently provide short term mobility and internship opportunities to UC students.

Undertaking an internship overseas can add real value to your degree whilst developing a greater understanding of yourself and the world in which you live. There are sometimes scholarships and funding to assist the cost of participating in an internship program; enquire with the Study Abroad office for more information.OS-Help funding may be available for eligible students to help with the cost of many programs, including internships.

The Careers team are located in Building 1, Student Central on campus and provide a support service for students wishing to undertake an internship. For general enquiries please email or make an internship appointment via Careerhub:

Doing this internship has helped me understand how all my previous studies actually relate to the workplace.  I was able to learn a lot about public relations since the agency was relatively small, which allowed for easier contact with the managers who were always willing to help.
