Internships

The University of Canberra prides itself on work integrated learning and other practical professional opportunities incorporated into degree programs. Why not consider adding to your practical experience through an overseas internship? Internships can be organised through the university as part of our faculty led programs, or independently through external providers.

International internships take time to organise and plan correctly. Please make sure you note application dates and timelines for the programs you are interested in. Students are required to have a strong academic record in order to participate in an endorsed UC international internship program.

Some of the organisations UC have worked with previously offer a range of internship (and other) programs abroad:

Deggendorf University of Applied Sciences

Deggendorf University in Germany offers a paid Teaching Assistant Internship Program, allowing you to stay for periods of three months or longer .

Asiania International Consultacy

Asiania International Consultancy (AIC) run out of Thailand, and offer short term mobility, student exchange, and internship programs. AIC provides a variety of choices of education and experience programs in a wide range of ASEAN countries, and is a proud partner of UC.

Start thinking about a program to undertake early in your degree and attend one of the many information sessions on campus run by the Study Abroad team.

There may be scholarships or other funding to assist the cost of participating in an internship program. Enquire with the UC Study Abroad Office for more information. OS-Help funding may be available for eligible students to help with the cost of many programs, including internships.
