The University and the Commonwealth Bank previously partnered together to provide a Student & Staff ID card, called the UC1 Card.
Students - Transition arrangements
The University ceased issuing UC1 cards for students on 23 November 2015. From 28 March 2016 the payment functionality of the current UC1 Student Cards will no longer be available for use. However the student UC1 card will be continued to be used as a student identification card, for building access and printing until the card expires.
If students have money left on their UC1 card, it will need to be withdrawn before 28 March 2016. It's quick and easy to make a withdrawal at any Commonwealth Bank ATM or use your card for purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted. If you don't withdraw all your money by this date, you'll need to visit a CommBank branch to redeem your funds.
Q. If I don't withdraw all my money by 28 March 2016, can I still get my money back?
A. Yes, but you will need to visit a CommBank branch to verify your identity. You will then need to submit a claim to recover your money. Please go to commbank.com.au/locateus for help finding a branch.
Q. If my card is lost or stolen; can I get a replacement card to withdraw my money?
A. From 23 November 2015, University of Canberra will stop issuing replacement student UC1 cards. If your card is lost or stolen after this date, you will need to attend a CommBank branch and complete a Campus Card Closure Form. This form allows you to transfer any remaining money from your card to an Australian bank account. If you require a new student card for parking, building access and printing, you can visit the Student Centre where we will be able to issue you a new ID card.
Q. How do I know if I have any funds on my UC1 Card?
A. You can check the balance by logging in (you will only be able to do this if you have previously activated your card). If you have forgotten your password please contact the Commonwealth Bank Customer Service Centre on 13 15 76.
Q. I have forgotten the pin number to my UC1Card - How can I reset it?
