Invitation & RSVP
Students eligible for the April 2017 graduations should receive their invitation by the end of January 2017. If you do not receive an invitation by the specified time, please contact the Student Progress and Graduation Office immediately.
Please ensure you have responded to your invitation in MyUC by the RSVP deadline, Friday 17th February.
Response to Invitations
After receiving your invitation you must advise whether or not you intend to be present at the Graduation ceremony on MyUC by 17th February 2017. If you no longer have access to MyUC, you can email your response to the Student Progress and Graduation Office. If you wish to request deferring your graduation to a later ceremony round (ie. September 2017), you must email this request to the Student Progress and Graduation Office. At most students may defer graduation for one ceremony round.
To celebrate your special day, immediately following your Ceremony, you and your guests are invited to an exclusive function at Old Parliament House with beverages (alcoholic and non-alcoholic), canapés and entertainment provided. The cost of entry is included in your guest tickets. A copy of the ticket must be provided by each guest at Old Parliament House for entry. Entry to the Reception can be paid at the door for friends and family who did not purchase guest tickets to the Ceremony. Only card payments will be accepted, at $22.50 per person. Graduating students do not need to provide a ticket.
Unable to Attend?
If you are unable to attend the ceremony, your award will be conferred in absentia.
Testamurs for students who have requested to confer in absentia will be available for collection from the Student Centre for the week following the graduation ceremonies. Students must present valid photo identification to collect the testamur. Students must also provide authorisation for someone to collect a testamur on their behalf.
Any uncollected testamurs will then be posted to a student's MyUC mailing address. For students with an international mailing address, the testamurs will be sent by courier. Students must ensure that they correctly register a street address as their mailing address (couriers cannot deliver to PO Boxes) and a contact telephone number at that mailing address.
Students with a domestic mailing address will receive their testamur by registered post.
Your name will appear in the graduation booklet regardless of your attendance at the ceremony.
