Graduation Checklist

Checklist A is for students who wish to attend the April 2017 ceremony.

Checklist B is for students who wish to confer their award in absentia (not attend a ceremony).

Checklist A (attending)

I have:

  1. Read the graduation information available on the UC Graduation web pages
  2. Received confirmation via letter/email of my eligibility to graduate
  3. Confirmed my award and name details are correct on my invitation
  4. RSVPed to my invitation on MyUC or by emailing the Student Progress and Graduation Office by 17th February 2017. I understand that the Student Progress and Graduation Office will not contact me to confirm receipt.
  5. Settled any outstanding debts (excluding HECS) I have with UC.
  6. Advised the UC Welfare & Inclusion Office of any special seating requirements that I or my guests may need by emailing inclusion@canberra.edu.au or phoning 6201 5233.
  7. Read the important note regarding guest tickets on the ticket information web page.
  8. Purchased my guest tickets through Reed Graduations by the deadline of 24th February 2017.
  9. Purchased your academic gown, hood and mortar board.
  10. Made arrangements to be at Parliament House at least 1.5 hours prior to the ceremony in order to get through security and register.
  11. Noted that my access to MyUC will cease shortly after my course completion.
  12. Read information on the shuttle bus service for graduands (click here for further information).
  13. Checked and prepaid photography options here.
  14. Informed all guests to arrive at least an hour early to allow time for parking due to availability and time restrictions.

Checklist B (in absentia)

I have:

  1. Read the graduation information available on the UC Graduation web pages
  2. Received confirmation via letter/email of my eligibility to graduate.
  3. Confirmed my award and name details are correct on my invitation.
  4. RSVP to my invitation on MyUC or by emailing the Student Progress and Graduation Office by 17th February 2017. I understand that the Student Progress and Graduation Office will not contact me to confirm receipt
  5. Settled any outstanding debts (excluding HECS) I have with UC.
  6. Updated my MyUC mailing address to the address I want my testamur and all future correspondence from UC posted to.
  7. Noted that testamurs will be mailed in May/June and may take up to 6 weeks to arrive.
  8. Noted that my access to MyUC will cease shortly after my graduation.
