Audiovisual Equipment

Audiovisual equipment is generally only available to staff and students in the Faculty of Education.  The loan periods vary between equipment, but usually range between 3 and 24 hours.

All staff and students in the Faculty of Education may borrow:

  • Cables for connecting laptops in University tutorial rooms
  • Calculators
  • Cassette recorders
  • CD player (for tutorial use only)
  • Compasses
  • Data projector (for tutorial use only)
  • Direct projector (for tutorial use only)
  • Extension cords
  • Guitars
  • Laptops (staff for short-term loan, students for tutorial use only)
  • Lecture boxes (for staff)
  • Microphones (for use with Edirols, mini disc recorders and cassette recorders)
  • Slide projectors & carousels
  • Stopwatches
  • Transcribers
  • Video cameras (standard VHS & 1-chip mini digital)

The following equipment is reserved for use by Media and Journalism students in specific subjects. The equipment that students may borrow for a subject is determined by the academic staff in the Media and Journalism programs.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are a Media or Journalism student wishing to borrow any of the above equipment you will first need to fill out an Equipment Loan Agreement.
