    Syllabus

    This unit explores advanced manufacturing and prototyping processes, methodologies and techniques relevant to product design. The unit will also investigate issues of sustainability in respect to advanced manufacturing and prototyping as applied to product design.

    Learning Outcomes

    On successful completion of this unit, students will:

    1. have a good understanding of the pro?s and cons of advanced manufacturing and prototyping processes, methodologies and techniques as they apply to product design; and

    2. be able to understand issues of sustainability in regard to advanced manufacturing and prototyping in product design.
