    Syllabus

    This unit explores the theories and concepts that underpin public relations practice and discusses the application of these across the sectors. It examines the marketing communication context of public relations and its international evolution; ethical issues, cross-cultural and international communication, and international public relations. The unit outlines public relations specialisations: corporate communication, public affairs (government communication; lobbying), financial public relations, media relations, and internal communications in the private, not-for-profit and public sectors.
