    Syllabus

    This unit builds on knowledge of the Australian and international health systems and will further review the contemporary public health and health policy landscape. Comparative analysis of approaches to public health issues will be examined. The unit will consider a broad range of contemporary health challenges from a population health perspective.

    Learning Outcomes

    On completion of this unit, students will be able to:

    1. describe the characteristics of the public health approach;

    2. analyse contemporary public health problems using a population perspective;

    3. identify emerging public health challenges.
