The content of the Computing (general) unit has been developed to ensure that students will have the computing skills needed to support their University studies. Students will cover:Introduction to PCs, Windows and Microsoft Office;Occupational Health and Safety - principles, practice, issuesMicrosoft Word - word processingMicrosoft Power point - slide presentations Microsoft Excel - spreadsheets

Learning Outcomes

  1. On successful completion of this unit, students will be able to: use a range of computing packages for specific purposes; access, retrieve and manipulate data; design documents to meet organisational requirements; follow OH &S procedures to ensure a safe working environment; use Internet and email as required.
