Introduction: This major will allow students to develop their language and cultural skills in Japanese. By the end of the major students will have acquired an intermediate level of communicative skills and cultural awareness in the Japanese language.
Prerequisite and/or Corequisite: Not applicable.
Assumed knowledge: Students should have no previous or very little knowledge of the chosen language.

Students wishing to undertake a 21cp major will also study Special Studies in Modern Languages A (level 3 @ 3cps).
