This course replaces the former Bachelor of Coaching Science course (684AA) from Semester 1 2011

The degree in Sport Coaching and Exercise Science provides academic training for those wishing to find employment in the coalface delivery of sport.

Academic content includes study in the key sport science disciplines of physiology, biomechanics, motor control and psychology. This degree also contains a unique sequence of units that focus on the theory and practice of coaching.

Careers

Employment for graduates would include such positions as

  • professional coaches,
  • sport directors,
  • sport and exercise scientists and coordinators and
  • sport development officers

INT-F2F: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode (check with unit convener for time of lectures, tutorials etc.)

INT-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode with online teaching

ONL: Online delivery only (no face-to-face teaching)

Face-to-face: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, supported by material on Moodle, our online teaching system.

STD-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, and online teaching.
