This course is designed for students interested in working as a teacher in childcare, pre-school and primary school (K-6) settings. It provides students with a sound theoretical base for teaching including a strong emphasis on Human Development and Learning along with opportunities to develop a repertoire of practical skills in how to teach young children.
The course is carefully structured with a balance between theory and practice in teaching. Students engage in a series of education and curriculum study units, which are clustered with appropriate professional experiences. This practical experience spans different levels and organisational modes of the childcare, pre-school and primary (K-6) settings.
