This two year course is for university graduates who are considering a career in secondary teaching, but whose undergraduate degree does not include a major sequence in an area teachable at secondary level. The structure of the course allows students to study a major sequence of units in a discipline area relevant to secondary teaching as well as the requisite units in Teacher Education.

Graduates whose undergraduate degree does include a major sequence in an area teachable in secondary schools should take our Graduate Diploma of Education in Secondary Teaching.

Please note the following abbreviations:

INT-F2F: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode (check with unit convener for time of lectures, tutorials etc.)

INT-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode with online teaching

ONL: Online delivery only (no face-to-face teaching)

Face-to-face: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, supported by material on Moodle, our online teaching system.

STD-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, and online teaching.
