Faculty of Business and Government

The sheer scope and impact of economics studies offers many opportunities for a rewarding career. The Bachelor of Applied Economics at University of Canberra is more policy-oriented than mathematical in its approach.

The course will provide the skills to critically examine major social issues confronting individuals and societies. Why does one country grow while another faces collapse? What are the best policies to insulate our society from the financial impact of global warming? Its a highly flexible degree that allows students to combine the compulsory economics major with a second major chosen from any course taught in the University, be it Chinese, media, law, ebusiness or management.

Double degrees are available and an honours year is an option for outstanding students.
