The challenge faced by critical care nurses today is to provide the highest possible standard of care within the current health care system. This course prepares the registered nurse to care for critically ill patient, as well as their families, by enhancing knowledge and further developing clinical expertise and decision-making. The ethical, legal and professional issues that arise in caring for the critically ill are explored.

Please note the following abbreviations:

INT-F2F: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode (check with unit convener for time of lectures, tutorials etc.)

INT-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode with online teaching

ONL: Online delivery only (no face-to-face teaching)

Face-to-face: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, supported by material on Moodle, our online teaching system.

STD-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, and online teaching.
