Master of International Development

Faculty of Arts and Design

This course will be available from Semester 1 2012.

The Masters of International Development is an interdisciplinary course that examines the theory and practice of development in a global context. The program focuses on three linked themes relevant at both the local and global levels: professional practice, sustainable development, and development management. The aim of the course is to produce graduates who combine a critical understanding of relevant development theories with the practical skills required to plan, implement, and monitor development projects successfully. The course is designed and taught by academics who have extensive experience as development practitioners, and who are able to share the knowledge gained from the field in the class room, and make links between the theory and practice of development.
