Faculty of Information Science and Engineering

The Master of Information Technology advances knowledge relating to new and emerging areas of information technology. The course is designed for IT professionals who require advanced skills in broad-based IT theory and practice, or intend to specialise in a particular IT area. Possible specialisations include information systems, software engineering, business informatics or network computing. The course is eligible for accreditation with the Australian Computer Society at the professional level. Students successfully completing the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma in Information Technology may seek admission to the master course. Credit may be given based on previous studies or work experience.

Please note the following abbreviations:

INT-F2F: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode (check with unit convener for time of lectures, tutorials etc.)

INT-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode with online teaching

ONL: Online delivery only (no face-to-face teaching)

Face-to-face: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, supported by material on Moodle, our online teaching system.

STD-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, and online teaching.
