The Master of Business Administration in Strategic Procurement has been designed to develop the professional management competencies of current and future leaders in strategic procurement, who seek to enhance their career prospects in business and government organisations, locally, nationally and internationally.  The course focuses on total lifecycle approaches to strategic procurement.

The Masters studies include core procurement and management subjects such as business law, business finance and accounting, project management, managing people and organisational performance, and also critical areas of increasing strategic importance to industry, government and society, such as sustainable procurement and risk management.

The student learning experience includes case studies, work-integrated learning opportunities and research projects, based on the University’s unique relationships with government and industry, so that students can directly apply their theoretical and practical understanding in the workplace. The course is presented in a range of teaching formats including lectures, tutorials, seminars and workshops. It is offered in mainstream and flexible delivery modes including intensive weekend delivery, and most units are also available online.

The course has been developed in consultation with the Australian Procurement and Construction Council, key agencies in the Commonwealth, state and territory and local governments, and industry, to ensure its relevance to the local, national and international business environments. There is a critical and increasing need, nationally and globally, for highly educated procurement professionals. The course is being accredited by the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and other professional bodies to ensure that graduates will have an internationally recognised professional qualification.

INT-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching in intensive mode with online teaching

ONL: Online delivery only (no face-to-face teaching)

Face-to-face: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, supported by material on Moodle, our online teaching system.

STD-F2FO: Face-to-face teaching with lecturers, tutorials etc, and online teaching.
