Introduction
The objective of the Graduate Certificate in Extended Scope Physiotherapy is to offer graduate students with entry level physiotherapy degrees extended scope of practice skills and knowledge as an entry to an extended scope of practice in their professional discipline area.
The Graduate Certificate in Extended Scope Physiotherapy will provide students with a physiotherapy degree a single postgraduate program with focussed training in extended scope of practice in their professional practice area.
Learning outcomes:
On completion of the Graduate Certificate in Extended Scope Physiotherapy students will be competent in the knowledge and skills necessary to commence and extended scope of practice training program within the relevant discipline area.

Course Duration
Standard duration one semester full-time or equivalent. Maximum four semesters. Students can commence the course in Semester 1 only.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must have a degree in a physiotherapy as approved by the University with a postgraduate qualification in the proposed area of extended scope of practice and with three years clinical practice experience or equivalent.
Additional requirements:
As determined by the relevant discipline registration authority.
Approved Credit arrangements.
Students may receive credit for the completion of approved modules for units 8881 Extended Scope Physiotherapy 1 PG and 8882 Extended Scope Physiotherapy 2 PG. Please consult the course convener for further information.
Subsumable awards
This course is subsumable into the Postgraduate Diploma in Extended Scope of Physiotherapy Practice.
