Web Pathfinder Launched

The Corporate Governance Web Portal provides a comprehensive set of key corporate governance links enabling easy access to relevant information. The Pathfinder has been designed for researchers and practitioners across the public and private sectors with an interest in keeping up-to-date with corporate governance .

Issues Paper Series Launched

Issues Paper No. 1 (first of a series which will be developed over the year), is now available on line.

This first paper (.pdf) , (Word), Corporate Governance and Performance: An Exploration of the Connections in a Public Sector Context explores the little-understood relationship between corporate governance and organisational performance.

Symposium

CPA Australia’s Inaugural Public Sector Governance & Accountability Symposium: Achieving an organisation-wide commitment to Public Sector Governance & Accountability Efficiency, Transparency, Integrity, Leadership - 2 - 13 December, 2004 - Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne and Sydney.

Workshop 2004 - 28 October, 2004

Venue: Clive Price Rooms, Building One, University of Canberra

Participants at this invitation only workshop on the 28th gained a stronger understanding of the key issues, tensions and potential in public sector corporate governance. Attendees were able to take the opportunity to strengthen relationships with other corporate governance enthusiasts from a diverse range of organisations; a very interesting and well attended day.
